The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, has announced the arrest of three individuals suspected of vandalism in Kano.
According to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Abdullahi, two suspects were apprehended at Eid ground, IBB way in Kano metropolis. The arrests were made during a night patrol duty on Wednesday.
The suspects, identified as Sunusi Musa and Musbahu Habibu, were allegedly caught melting large caches of streetlight cables they had vandalized and stolen at Koki Quarters, Kano Municipal LGA, Kano State.

A third suspect, Muhammad Ado, was arrested at Race course road, Nassarawa GRA, Kano, while packing vandalized streetlight wires. The arrest was made on the same day as the first two suspects.
The three suspects are currently in custody, and an investigation is ongoing. Upon completion of the investigation, they will face legal action.
The Command has warned against vandalism of critical national assets and is actively seeking additional individuals in connection with the incident.
