Kwankwaso Claims The PDP is Dead.

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), recently proclaimed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is effectively defunct in the country. During the inauguration of a renovated party office in Katsina State, he emphasized that his departure from the PDP was a clear indication of its decline, stating, “PDP is dead because we left the party.” His comments reflect a deep dissatisfaction with the PDP’s current state.

Kwankwaso expressed his intent to win the upcoming 2027 presidential election, confidently asserting that the NNPP is poised to take over not only the presidency but also several states across the nation. His optimism underscores the party’s ambitions and readiness to challenge the political status quo in Nigeria.

In addition to his electoral aspirations, Kwankwaso urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and not be swayed by monetary gifts or other incentives during the next general election. His warning reflects a broader concern about the influence of money in politics and the need for integrity among voters.

Katsina NNPP chairman, Armaya’u Abdulkadir, also spoke at the event, highlighting the party’s commitment to educating the electorate about their new logo. He stated that the logo symbolizes the party’s focus on education for all, which aligns with the core principles of the Kwankwasiyya movement.

Abdulkadir emphasized the importance of grassroots sensitization, stressing that it is crucial for party members to understand the significance of the new logo. This initiative aims to foster a stronger connection between the party and the community, ensuring that members are informed and engaged.

Overall, both Kwankwaso and Abdulkadir’s statements reflect a strategic approach to revitalizing the NNPP’s image and strengthening its position in the political landscape as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
