Emir Sanusi Seeks Government Approval to Address the Fulani Crisis.

The 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has voiced his commitment to addressing the ongoing crises affecting the Fulani community in Nigeria. He believes that it is crucial to find a lasting solution to these issues and is prepared to take action to facilitate this process. During a meeting with the leadership of a Fulani group, Tapital Pulaku Njode Jam Nigeria, he emphasized the need for government support to effectively implement his strategies.

Sanusi stated that while he can provide innovative ideas and methodologies, the Federal Government possesses the necessary resources and authority to make these plans successful. He underlined that collaboration is essential for achieving the desired outcomes in addressing the challenges faced by the Fulani people.

The Emir highlighted the severe hardships endured by the Fulani community, including violent attacks, social isolation, and the loss of livestock due to rustling. He pointed out that these issues have led to widespread suffering and called for urgent action to mitigate the situation.

Moreover, Sanusi acknowledged that there are negative elements within the Fulani community that have tarnished their reputation and contributed to their current plight. He stressed the importance of recognizing these issues while working towards a solution that benefits everyone involved.

He urged the government to collaborate closely with him and the Fulani community to establish a permanent resolution to the crises, particularly those arising between Fulani herders and farmers. This cooperation is vital to address the underlying tensions and prevent further conflict.

Sanusi expressed his readiness to assist the government in achieving peace and prosperity for the Fulani people and all Nigerians. He firmly believes that collective efforts can bring about significant change and alleviate the suffering experienced by the community.

In his remarks, the leader of the Fulani group, Madibo Jada, affirmed their loyalty to the Emir, expressing their support for his leadership. They conveyed their commitment to working alongside him as he seeks to address the challenges facing their community.

Overall, Sanusi’s call for collaboration and support reflects a proactive approach to resolving the crises affecting the Fulani people, emphasizing the need for unity and shared responsibility in achieving lasting peace.
