President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to deliver a national address on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am. This announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement titled ‘President Tinubu to address the nation’ on Saturday.
Television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are encouraged to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for the broadcast.

The statement also mentioned that the broadcast will be repeated on the network services of the NTA and the FRCN at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day.
Meanwhile, protests have persisted in Lagos, Oyo, Abuja, and other states, with demands including the reversal of fuel subsidy removal and the reduction of the skyrocketing prices of goods and services in the country.
The #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest has been overshadowed by looting in Kano and other northern regions, prompting police efforts to recover stolen items.
